Thinking about learning a language with Pimsleur and wondering how much it will cost you? Pimsleur’s price depends on two choices: whether you want only the audio lessons or the app’s practice tools too, and whether you want one language or all 51.

This guide walks you through every Pimsleur plan and price, which plan makes sense for you, and how to pay less with the free trial and Pimsleur’s discounts.

Pimsleur plans and prices

Here is what each plan costs on Pimsleur’s Latin American Spanish page and Audio-Only page. The French page shows the same prices.

Pimsleur prices on the US website, checked October 18, 2026
PlanPrice
Audio-Only (1 language)$14.95 a month
Premium (1 language)$19.95 a month
All Access (51 languages)$20.95 a month
All Access Annual$164.95 a year
All Access Lifetime$798 once

A subscription includes every level of the course. Pimsleur’s US pages show a yearly price for All Access only, and the annual plan works out to $13.75 a month. When we checked, two sales were running: the first year of All Access Annual cost $131.96, and All Access Lifetime cost $478.80.

Audio-Only, Premium or All Access: what’s the difference?

Audio-Only gives you Pimsleur’s core 30-minute audio lessons for one language. Premium adds the practice tools in the app for that language, such as flash cards, Speak Easy role-plays and Voice Coach pronunciation feedback. All Access gives you Premium in every Pimsleur language.

All Access costs only $1 a month more than Premium, so Premium makes sense only if you are sure you want one language. Premium and All Access can also be shared with up to 3 people in your household at no extra cost.

Which Pimsleur plan should you choose?

That depends on how you like to learn and how long you plan to keep going.

  • You only want to learn by ear: Audio-Only, $14.95 a month.
  • You want the practice tools: All Access at $20.95 a month. It gives you every language for $1 more than Premium.
  • You’ll keep going for most of a year: All Access Annual. At $164.95, it costs less than 8 monthly payments.
  • You’ll use Pimsleur for years: All Access Lifetime. At its $478.80 sale price, it costs about as much as 3 years of the annual plan. Pimsleur also sells single-language courses for life, from $150 a level.

Is there a Pimsleur free trial?

Yes. New customers get a 7-day free trial on Audio-Only, Premium and All Access. Pimsleur asks for payment details when the trial starts, and the subscription starts automatically when the 7 days end. Pimsleur’s FAQ says to cancel by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the last day of the trial if you subscribed on pimsleur.com.

Use the trial to decide, because Pimsleur doesn’t refund subscription charges, and its money-back guarantee doesn’t cover plans that start with a free trial. Before the trial, you can also take a free lesson, which Pimsleur’s App Store listing offers in all 51 languages.

How to pay less for Pimsleur

Pimsleur runs sales on its own site. On October 18, 2026, its coupons page and plan pages offered 20% off the first year of All Access Annual and 40% off All Access Lifetime with the code ACCESS40.

Students, educators, healthcare workers, military personnel and first responders get bigger discounts: 54% off All Access Lifetime and 30% off All Access Annual. You verify your status through SheerID, and the student discount applies to new subscriptions only.

Is Pimsleur worth the price?

Pimsleur is good value if you learn best by ear and will do a 30-minute audio lesson most days, for example in the car or on a walk. When Alysa Salzberg used Pimsleur French for our Pimsleur review, she found it helpful for pronunciation and listening. She also found that the Audio-Only version had no written French, the phrases leaned formal, and the Premium review exercises were harder than they needed to be.

If your main goal is to speak, our pick is Copycat Cafe (we make it). You hear an everyday conversation, say each line aloud with a 0–100 pronunciation score on every word, then use it with Copy, your AI conversation partner. It costs $29 a month or $174 a year in the US, with a 7-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment.
